LUIS SAENZ Red is an intense wine with aromatic scents of red fruit, vanilla and hints of liquorice. The palate is soft and pleasant, with notes of red fruits, sweet black liquorice and light chocolate. Delicate finish.

LUIS SAENZ wines are elaborated with grapes from an area called El CASTILLO, located in El Cortijo, in the heart of La Rioja Alta. The land, the climate and the type of cultivation make LUIS SAENZ production limited and selected. The wines are characterized by their high expression in aroma, colour and elegance.

These centenary vineyards are harvested in a 25 kg box to keep each bunch of grapes in perfect condition. It is elaborated in a small
deposit of 12,000 kg, as the skins have more contact with the must, and in the fermentation we obtain more coloured and aromatic wines with a high IPT index (total  polyphenols index) and a sweet tannin. Then, it is pressed and the second fermentation is done in new American oak barrels. Once the malolactic fermentation in the barrel is finished, the wine is removed from the barrel and stabilized for its next bottling and refining process.

LUIS SAENZ RED is a young wine, made with 100% Tempranillo grapes, is aged for 3 months in new American oak barrels. This vineyard is located in the area of El CASTILLO in El Cortijo (Rioja Alta), at 1968 feet above sea level, with centenary vineyards cultivated in goblet system. The yields of these vineyards are 2500-3000 kg per hectare.

Intense colour to blackberry with violet
tones. It is a very aromatic wine, intense with lots
of sweet red fruit and with vanilla notes. Hints of black licorice. The palate is soft and pleasant, with notes of red fruits, sweet black licorice and light chocolate. Delicate finish.

The soil is Calcareous clay with Mediterranean climate. The Vineyards are 90+ years old.

Deze honderdjarige wijngaarden worden geoogst in een doos van 25 kg om elke druiventros in perfecte staat te houden. Het wordt uitgewerkt in een kleine storting van 12.000 kg, omdat de schillen meer contact hebben met de most, en bij de gisting verkrijgen we meer gekleurde en aromatische wijnen met een hoge IPT-index (totale polyfenolenindex) en een zoete tannine. Vervolgens wordt de wijn geperst en vindt de tweede gisting plaats in nieuwe Amerikaanse eikenhouten vaten. Zodra de malolactische gisting in het vat is voltooid, wordt de wijn uit het vat gehaald en gestabiliseerd voor de volgende botteling en verfijning.

LUIS SAENZ RED is een jonge wijn, gemaakt van 100% Tempranillo druiven, die 3 maanden verouderd in nieuwe Amerikaanse eiken vaten. Deze wijngaard is gelegen in het gebied van El CASTILLO in El Cortijo (Rioja Alta), op 1968 voet boven de zeespiegel, met honderdjarige wijngaarden geteeld in goblet systeem. De opbrengsten van deze wijngaarden zijn 2500-3000 kg per hectare.

Intense kleur naar braam met violet tonen. Het is een zeer aromatische wijn, intens met veel van zoet rood fruit en met vanilletonen. Hints van zwarte drop. Het gehemelte is zacht en aangenaam, met tonen van rood fruit, zoete zwarte drop en lichte chocolade. Delicate afdronk.

De bodem is kalkhoudende klei met een mediterraan klimaat. De wijngaarden zijn 90+ jaar oud.

Ces vignobles centenaires sont récoltés dans une caisse de 25 kg afin de conserver chaque grappe de raisin en parfait état. Il est élaboré dans un petit dépôt de 12.000 kg, car les peaux ont plus de contact avec le moût, et dans la fermentation nous obtenons des vins plus colorés et aromatiques avec un indice IPT (indice de polyphénols totaux) élevé et un tanin doux.

Ensuite, il est pressé et la seconde fermentation se fait en fûts de chêne américain neufs. Une fois la fermentation malolactique en barrique terminée, le vin est retiré de la barrique et stabilisé pour sa prochaine mise en bouteille et son affinage.

Le LUIS SAENZ RED est un vin jeune, élaboré à partir de raisins 100% Tempranillo, il est élevé pendant 3 mois en barriques neuves de chêne américain. Ce vignoble est situé dans la zone de El CASTILLO à El Cortijo (Rioja Alta), à 1968 pieds au-dessus du niveau de la mer, avec des vignobles centenaires cultivés en système de gobelet. Les rendements de ces vignobles sont de 2500-3000 kg par hectare.

Couleur intense à la mûre avec des tons violets. tons violets. C’est un vin très aromatique, intense avec beaucoup de de fruits rouges sucrés et avec des notes de vanille. Notes de réglisse noire. Dans la bouche est douce et agréable, avec des notes de fruits rouges, de réglisse noire sucrée et de chocolat léger. Finale délicate.

Le sol est argilo-calcaire avec un climat méditerranéen. Les vignobles sont âgés de plus de 90 ans.

Standard transport fee is 7,95€

If you order from our Wine Collection the basic transport fee is 8,75€. The wine is shipped in special carton boxes with double walls for better protection in 1, 2, 3 or 6 bottles packs. For every additional bottle you order up to 6 bottles, 0,75€ is added to the transport fee. For every additional bottle, a fixed transport fee of 12€ is applied.

For example, ordering 6 bottles will cost you 12,50€ in transport fees, ordering between 7 to 12 bottles will cost you 24,50€ in transport fees.

Order for more than 100€ and the goods will be delivered to you for free or you can select a pickup from our office, then NO transport fees will be applied to your order.

A fix special packing fee of 6€ is applied to every order containing bottle(s).

Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.

Boxes are amply sized and your items are well-protected.
